Spanish for “ve doesn’t go”

I’d seen a video or two of Linsey Pollak playing a carrot-based cylisax before, but this new one mentions where he got the idea, something called the Venova from Yamaha. Seems they figured out how to make a cylindrical bore instrument overblow at the octave, by use of a branched tube.

That right there’s interesting enough to me, but they refer to its “meandering pipe design”, and sure enough it’s a wiggly bore, along the lines of the Papalini bass clarinet that inspired my PVC contrabass chalumeau!

And then just to rub it in my face, they show a picture of two Venovas accompanied by a ukulele.

I may need one of these.
