I thought I was not covering much ground last week except for Friday, but this week I had three days shorter than any of last week’s. And right now I’m dealing with a minor foot issue, so my walking and bike riding will probably be curtailed the next several days.
So I did about 36 km across… well, Mars, but not especially interesting Mars. Sorry. Wait, why am I apologizing? Mars should be apologizing.
Eleanor Lutz has drawn a beautiful thing which she calls “A medieval map of Mars” although, to quibble, it’s not all of Mars, and it looks more like 17th century than medieval. It covers longitude 50°W to 50°E and 55°N to 55°S, so unfortunately my MarsWalk is not on it. You can buy prints, etc., from her site.
