Excess alcohol

I transferred the black raspberry wine today. There turned out to have been well over a gallon — somewhere between a pint and a quart more — and since I didn’t have a 5-quart jug, nor thought much of the idea of trying to set up a 1-quart secondary, the extra went down the drain. Most of that excess probably was the yeast starter I used, come to think of it.
