  1. I’m sure there’s a few Hummer owners who want to pretend they’re environmentally conscious. Or maybe they’ll only run on biodiesel generated by farms created by clearcutting forests.

    1. I’m sure there’s a few Hummer owners who want to pretend they’re environmentally conscious. That’s the concept I’m having trouble imagining. Though this morning the possibility of Hummer owners whose spouses want to be environmentally conscious came to mind. (I chose non-sexist wording, but you know I’m not visualizing it that way.) Forget it dude. Biofuel or no biofuel, that marriage can not be saved.

  2. I’m thinking wannabe survivalists. They’d be attracted to the combination of the appearance of badassery, the suggestion of offroad capability and the notion that they can still drive the monstrosity after the apocalypse when the pumps run dry. In some ways those guys are sort of the hippies of the right.
