Usually I don’t have very serious drawing needs on my Mac. MacWorks/AppleWorks used to be sufficient back in the day, and it still runs on my old iMac, but not on my MacBook and the iMac won’t be around forever. And iWork doesn’t have real drawing capability.
So what to use? I like OpenOffice.org fairly well [...]

How much can I blog on in one day?
On closer inspection I think the filter is working more or less OK, and part of the problem was just that it was filtering a lot of what I was listening for. I yanked the RC network to in essence filter at infinite frequency and the output level went up. Still not all that loud, [...]

How long has this been going on?
I’m sitting here using my MacBook, and I just stumbled across a behavior I didn’t know about: swipe the track pad with two fingers, as if you’re scrolling up, but with the ctrl key down, and it zooms the whole screen in. “Scroll” down and it zooms out again.

Purple
When I went from white belt to yellow, and again from yellow to orange, it was with three other people at the same time: John, Mary, and Conor. But Conor’s been coming to the dojo pretty irregularly lately; in fact I haven’t seen him in a couple months, though I know he’s been in. But [...]

Twit
I’ve never really understood the appeal of Twitter, but I decided to give it a whirl on this trip to Newport News. So there I am, doctroid.
Something to do while waiting in the airport for my delayed departure.
